JCLPlus Fundamentals: Getting New Team Members Up to Speed
September 15, 2026, 2pm ET
This instructor-led training session is designed to help new team members at current customer organizations build a practical understanding of JCLPlus and how it supports everyday JCL validation and management activities. The session will introduce the core purpose of JCLPlus, review common terminology and workflows, and demonstrate how to submit JCL for validation, interpret results, identify errors and warnings, and use the information provided to resolve issues more efficiently.
Attendees will also learn foundational best practices for working with organizational standards, symbolics, procedures, and environment-specific JCL requirements. The session will include practical tips for navigating common validation scenarios, understanding reports and messages, and recognizing how JCLPlus can fit into existing development, testing, and Software Configuration Management processes.
Although the training will not be hands-on, participants will be encouraged to interact with the instructors through live chat, questions, knowledge checks, and real-world examples. By the end of the session, new team members should have the confidence and baseline knowledge needed to begin using JCLPlus effectively within their organization.
